ORIGINAL ARTICLE: NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department Eighth District is asking for the local public’s assistance in locating missing 12 year old A’Lyri Elexis Smith out of the New Orleans, Louisiana area.
A’Lyri was last seen at 8:50 om on April 9, 2017 outside of the McDonalds at 711 Canal Street New Orleans with her mother and siblings. Her mother reported that she looked away from her children for a moment and when she looked back, A’Lyri was gone. Security guards observed A’Lyri walking on Canal Street towards the river with two unknown black males minutes after A’Lyri’s mother reported her missing.
A’Lyri was wearing a denim shirt and a denim skirt, brown open toed sandals and sunglasses.
A’Lyri is described as:
• GENDER: Female.
• ETHNICITY: Black.
• HAIR: Black in a single crown braid around her head.
• HEIGHT: 5 feet 9 inches.
• WEIGHT: 120 pounds.
